Lux "toilet" soap was introduced in 1925 and is short for "Luxury". The product is most remembered for it's 1930s and 40s radio sponsorship of the "Lux Radio Theater", which featured many of the greatest acting talents of the era. In the 50s, Lux began sponsoring the "Lux Video Theater". Today, the product is heavily marketed in India and Asia. Starring in this clip is Betsy Palmer, best known as Jason Voorhees' mother Pamala in Friday the 13th (1980). She has starred in numerous tv and game shows, including a recurring role on Knots Landing. She also appeared once in an episode of the "Lux Video Theater".
